The Organization of Kingston Women Artists (OKWA) is a non-profit independent association formed in Kingston, Ontario in 1989, with a current membership of approximately sixty artists. The organization provides a forum for mutual support and exchange of information and ideas among local professional women artists.

We hold one members' OKWA Artist Show annually in the Fall that features the scope and breadth or our Artists’ work. Sometimes throughout the year we hold another invitational exhibition. The shows are a wonderful way to explore the scope and talent of our membership, particularly at our openings where you can meet and talk with us.
We also hold monthly Artists Talks which are are open to the public and informative way to get to dig deep into the featured artist's work.
Our most recent talk was in February at the Grad Club: Collective Sessions. Talks for this year will resume in September

Any professional artist who self-identifies as a woman, living in the Kingston region is eligible to apply for an Artist Membership in OKWA.
Occasionally we are fortunate enough to host Guest Speakers who enlighten us with new ideas, concepts and resources. These events are great fun and are open to the public.
